Knitted, not printed
The motif is jacquard: bone-white and coloured yarns carried through the black wool row by row on an industrial flat-bed machine. There is no ink, no transfer and no embroidery on top. Pattern and garment are the same object, so nothing can crack, peel or fade.
Fabric and fit
Heavyweight knit in 50% wool and 50% acrylic: warm and substantial like pure wool, harder-wearing and easier to live with. A finished sweater weighs 450 to 650 g depending on size. Relaxed unisex fit, true to size, S to 2XL. Between sizes, take the bigger one.

Bold black and bone stripes: the oldest silhouette in goth knitwear and the one that never once went out of style. This is not a reference to a film, it is the stripe itself, done at the right weight and the right width, with the bands sized so they read as graphic rather than nautical.
Stripes look like the easy option and are not. Width, spacing and where the bands land on the body decide whether a striped jumper looks like a wardrobe staple or like pyjamas. We knitted three widths before settling on this one, and the pattern is carried through the fabric rather than printed, so the edges stay crisp instead of blurring after a wash.
Slightly fitted and slightly cropped, which is what keeps the stripe from widening the body, with ribbed collar, cuffs and hem. Unisex sizing S to 2XL, true to size; size up if you want it to sit longer over the hip. The model is 172 cm and wears S.
Knitted to order in Italy in two to three weeks, then free tracked shipping worldwide. Wool cycle at 30 degrees inside out, dry flat, never tumble dry. Black and bone yarn do not bleed into each other in cold water, so the contrast stays exactly as sharp as the day it left the machine.
