Knitted, not printed
The motif is jacquard: bone-white and coloured yarns carried through the black acrylic or wool blend row by row on an industrial flat-bed machine. There is no ink, no transfer and no embroidery on top. Pattern and garment are the same object, so nothing can crack or peel.
Fabric and fit
Two yarns, two prices: 100% acrylic, or 80% wool and 20% polyamide, the warmer of the two; in 80% wool, the colours are confirmed by email before we knit. A finer yarn is possible on request, priced separately. Relaxed unisex fit, true to size, S to 2XL: the standard measurements are in the table next to the sizes. Between sizes, take the bigger one.
Made to order
Your piece is knitted after you order it: the chart goes on the machine, the yarn is mounted, then it is linked, hand-finished and steamed. Two to three weeks, plus shipping. No dead stock, no warehouse.

One clean pentacle, centre chest, in thin precise lines on black, and the KNITFERATU wordmark across the upper back. Nothing else. This is the quietest thing we make and, by some distance, the one that gets worn to the most offices. Occult minimalism: the whole point is that it takes a second look.
Thin lines are the cruellest test of a knitting chart. A single stitch out of place turns a five-pointed star into a lopsided scribble, and there is no retouching yarn. The pentacle is charted so that each arm holds the same weight and the circle stays round rather than faceted, then knitted in bone-white through heavyweight black acrylic or wool blend.
Relaxed unisex crew-neck, ribbed collar, cuffs and hem, true to size S to 2XL. The motif is deliberately modest in scale so it reads as a mark rather than a graphic, which is what makes it wearable under a blazer. The model is 178 cm and wears M.

Is the motif printed or knitted?
Knitted. It is jacquard: the bone-white and coloured yarns are carried through the black acrylic or wool blend row by row on an industrial flat-bed machine, so the motif is the fabric. There is no ink, no transfer and no embroidery, and therefore nothing that can crack or peel.
Is the KNITFERATU lettering on the back knitted too?
Yes. It is part of the same jacquard, knitted across the upper back in the bone-white yarn. It is not a patch and not a print.
Which size should I take?
Relaxed unisex fit, true to size, S to 2XL. The standard measurements in centimetres are in the table next to the sizes: check them before you order. Between two sizes, take the bigger one, and if you still call it wrong the size exchange is free.
How warm is it really?
Properly warm: a heavyweight knit in 100% acrylic or in 80% wool and 20% polyamide, the warmer of the two. It works alone in autumn and as the only layer under a coat in winter.
