Knitted, not printed
The motif is jacquard: bone-white and coloured yarns carried through the black acrylic or wool blend row by row on an industrial flat-bed machine. There is no ink, no transfer and no embroidery on top. Pattern and garment are the same object, so nothing can crack or peel.
Fabric and fit
Two yarns, two prices: 100% acrylic, or 80% wool and 20% polyamide, the warmer of the two; in 80% wool, the colours are confirmed by email before we knit. A finer yarn is possible on request, priced separately. Relaxed unisex fit, true to size, S to 2XL: the standard measurements are in the table next to the sizes. Between sizes, take the bigger one.
Made to order
Your piece is knitted after you order it: the chart goes on the machine, the yarn is mounted, then it is linked, hand-finished and steamed. Two to three weeks, plus shipping. No dead stock, no warehouse.

It is the whimsigoth staple: soft, heavy, quietly witchy, and the piece most owners end up wearing every day of the cold season.
Circles are difficult in knitting. A stitch grid wants to make an octagon, so each phase had to be charted individually and eased until the crescents curve properly and the full moon reads as round rather than blocky. The silver-grey yarn is carried through the black, and the stars on the sleeves were placed by hand on the chart rather than repeated on a grid, so the scatter looks like a sky instead of a pattern.
Relaxed unisex fit with a button placket, ribbed cuffs and hem, S to 2XL, true to size. Heavier than most cardigans, which is what stops it from hanging limp by February. Wear it open over a t-shirt or closed as the only layer. The model is 170 cm and wears M.
Knitted to order in the atelier, two to three weeks, free tracked shipping worldwide. Fold it rather than hang it: heavy knit plus gravity is how cardigans lose their shape. Buttons are sewn on by hand and a spare travels in the box.
Is the motif printed or knitted?
Knitted. Every line of the pattern is yarn carried through the black acrylic or wool blend on a flat-bed machine, not ink on the surface. That is why it survives the wash and why the back of the fabric shows the pattern in negative.
Which size should I take?
Relaxed unisex fit, true to size, S to 2XL, with flat measurements in centimetres on the size guide. Take your usual size to wear it open, one up if you want it to sit longer over the hip.
How do I wash it without ruining it?
Follow the care instructions for your yarn, 100% acrylic or 80% wool and 20% polyamide: they ship with the piece. Fold it to store it: heavy knit on a hanger stretches at the shoulders.
